- 6 medium catfish, clean and filet
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- Hot Sauce
- 1-cup self-rising flour
- 1-cup self-rising cornmeal
- ¼ cup of shortening
* substitute shortening or bake your fish if desired
Sprinkle catfish on both sides with salt, pepper, and, hot sauce; Mix flour and cornmeal; Coat catfish with flour and cornmeal; Fry coated catfish in hot shortening for 8 minutes or until catfish are golden brown on both sides.
Yields 6 Servings
