MAY IS NATIONAL BBQ MONTH!
1 cup of water
¼ cup
of lemon juice
¼ cup
and 2 tablespoons of firmly packed brown sugar
¼ cup
of butter (margarine works just fine)
2 tablespoons of cider vinegar
1 tablespoon of paprika
2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
¾
teaspoon of salt
½
teaspoon of pepper
1 or 2 drops of liquid smoke – for a smokey flavor
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil,
stirring constantly until sugar melts.
Boil, uncovered, until reduced to 1 1/3 cups.
